Balala Ugadhi Utsavalu
Description
On the occasion of the Ugadi festival in 2023, Amaravati Balotsavam successfully organised Balotsavam programmes in apartment complexes where middle-class families reside in Tadepalli. Competitions were conducted in 25 different categories, with around 1,100 children and their parents participating enthusiastically. The programme was held in a joyful and festive atmosphere, providing a platform for children to showcase their talents with strong support from their families.
During the summer of 2023, with the objective of promoting scientific thinking among children, 25-day magic training programmes were conducted in Vijayawada and Tadepalli. A total of 72 children participated in the training and later performed two-hour magic shows, which were attended by nearly 300 audience members. By combining science with entertainment, the programme helped develop analytical thinking, observation skills, and logical reasoning among children.
On 4th September 2022, Balotsavam Bhavan, located near Raghavayya Park in Vijayawada, was formally inaugurated in a joyful and inspiring atmosphere by Sri Chalavadi Mallikarjuna Rao, Honorable President of Amaravati Balotsavam. The inauguration ceremony was attended by senior members, organisers, and well-wishers who have been actively involved in conducting Balotsavam programmes across the state.
Vision and Purpose
These programmes were organised with the aim of nurturing creativity, scientific curiosity, and cultural awareness among children. Special training camps of 20 days were also conducted in mathematics, drawing, and folk dance at both Vijayawada and Tadepalli. These camps played an important role in strengthening children’s intellectual abilities, artistic talents, and appreciation for cultural traditions. Additionally, on the occasion of Independence Day over the past two years, drawing competitions were organised in Vijayawada and Tadepalli. Hundreds of students participated and expressed their patriotic spirit through creative artwork, making the events meaningful and inspiring.
