History of Balotsavam – 2018

Balotsavam–2018 was successfully conducted in Vijayawada on January 2, 3, and 4, 2019, after being postponed due to the Pethai cyclone. The festival brought together thousands of students on a common platform to celebrate talent, creativity, and learning. The event aimed to nurture children’s academic, cultural, and scientific abilities while promoting confidence, teamwork, and social awareness.

A total of 6,484 students from 166 schools participated in 68 academic, volunteers 180 and cultural events across Sub Juniors, Baby Juniors, Juniors, and Seniors categories. Competitions such as science exhibitions, essay writing, quizzes, dances, skits, and art displays provided students with opportunities to showcase their talents, making the festival a vibrant and inspiring celebration of young minds.

Description

Amaravati Balotsavam – 2018 was organised with the vision of encouraging children to explore their talents and develop creativity, confidence, and social responsibility. The festival saw enthusiastic participation from students representing government, aided, private, and corporate schools. Cultural performances, academic competitions, and science exhibitions created an atmosphere of learning and celebration throughout the three days.

The event also promoted awareness on important social issues such as environmental protection, scientific thinking, and social harmony. With the support of organisers, volunteers, teachers, and parents, Balotsavam–2018 became a memorable and successful celebration dedicated to the holistic development of children.
