Education Development Seminar
Description
A day-long seminar was organised in October 2023 under the aegis of M.B. Vignana Kendra to discuss the overall development of children and the challenges faced by the education sector. The seminar focused on six key topics related to education, addressing both present issues and future needs.
Educationists, intellectuals, lecturers, and teachers from various disciplines actively participated and shared their valuable insights and experiences. The discussions highlighted the importance of strengthening the education system to ensure equal opportunities and holistic development for all students.
The seminar unanimously urged the Government of India and Government of Andhra Pradesh to take immediate and effective measures to provide quality education for all. It strongly recommended increasing funding for education and filling vacant teaching positions from high school to university level without delay.
Vision and Purpose
The seminar was organised with the vision of improving the quality, accessibility, and effectiveness of education. It served as a platform for experts and educators to exchange ideas, identify systemic challenges, and propose practical solutions. Participants emphasised the need for a comprehensive and long-term education development plan. They stressed that the government must play a leading role in strengthening public education and ensuring that education remains accessible and equitable for all sections of society.
